Mourning

Empty these sea shells
Ringing of life
That once was
Mosaic patterns on twisted hearts
Wanting of love
Maybe more strife
The ocean at my crumpling feet
Tears and tides
Whispers the sky above
Quicksand is fast to catch me
In tears of dye
Can't see anyone this side
I mourn life for life's sake
My body is twisted
Flesh breaks in sighs
There is no sign of the moon
I sink to the bottom
Feel shackles that resisted
Covered in flaky stillness
On the brink of autumn

All roads back are shut
Dusty path silken track
Wheels shriek in bloody tones
Not much bother
For this sack of bones
